The Cannes Film Festival is well underway and the second day is now complete. One of the events this evening was a benefit for the Prince Albert Foundation and among the attendees were the newly single Star Jones, Petra Nemcova, Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland and Prince Albert of Monaco.

Star Jones has filed for divorce from hubby Al Reynolds just short of the couple's fourth anniversary. Star has reportedly high tailed it out of the country to avoid prying eyes and questions but there has long been rumors surrounding the union and they have not been seen in public together for quite some time. Star filed for dissolution on March 26th. No word yet on where she ran off to to hide but if we find out we'll let you know!

According to reports, Star Jones and husband Al Reynolds are splitting up. The couple was married for three years and hadn't been seeing eye-to-eye for months. They were spending a great deal of time apart and Star decided the relationship was over. Star put forth her best effort in trying to work things out but things reportedly fell apart in early February.

Star Jones, seen here leaving Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills, will be host of a new talk show on TruTV. Court TV is adjourning effective January 1, 2008 in favor of the new TruTV network. The new network will still offer court coverage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. but Star's new show at 3 p.m. will shift the focus for the remainder of the day.

Star Jones didn't let it rain on her parade, even though it rained on her 44th birthday.  Star spent part of the day in Miami Beach, enjoying the company of friends.  The slimmed down gal even indulged in champagne and french fries.  What the heck ... it's your birthday!
