I'd like to start off by posting the positive: Quentin Tarantino is obviously a genius, and almost everything he touches turns to cinematic gold. Reservoir Dogs is one of the best movies ever, and I'm sure I don't need to sing the praises of Kill Bill to ya'll. I mean, there's clearly a reason he's presenting a cinema masterclass at Cannes this week.

With that said, dude's movies TOTALLY creep me out. Cutting off a guy's ear with "Stuck in the Middle With You" playing in the background? Who comes up with that kind of stuff?

Among the celebs attending the 2007 Spike TV Scream awards were Paris Hilton and Darren Lynn, Kristen Bell, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Ozzy and Jack Osbourne, Slash, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Criss Angel, Alice Cooper and Casper Van Dien.

The Scream Awards, which celebrate people getting the crap scared out of them, are appropriately scheduled to air just before Halloween on October 23. Check your local listings.

As London Fashion Week continued last night, nearly 500 guests attended the invitation-only Golden Age of Couture VIP Gala at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Guests paid $2,000 each to attend the event. Those in attendance included Elizabeth Hurley, Prince, Claudia Schiffer, Quentin Tarantino, Eva Herzigova, Jade Jagger, Lily Cole and Vivienne Westwood.

Quentin Tarantino and Eric Roberts attended a party in London yesterday celebrating the release of Tarantino's film Death Proof in the UK on September 21.

Death Proof and Planet Terror were released as a double feature in the US with the title Grindhouse but are being released separately internationally. The release of Planet Terror will follow at an unspecified later date.
