Is it just me, or does Pete Wentz not seem like as big of a toolbag as he used to? It looks like being married to Ashlee Simpson is agreeing with him, and I'm happy to see that he's toning down the guyliner use a bit.

Here he is, surfing on a car (okay, okay...I take back that bit about not being a toolbag) during the OP summer party for their new ad campaign. On the bright side, at least his kid will have a fun dad to play around with. I guess.

It's reported that Ashlee Simpson, 23, is expecting her first child with fiance Pete Wentz, 28. The couple announced their engagement on Wednesday, 4/9/08. A spokesperson for the couple said, "We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple...Beyond that there is nothing to say." Ashlee is scheduled to release her new album, Bittersweet World on April 22.

Reports are that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have confirmed that they're planning to get married. The couple said in an online statement, "We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us."

Brothers and Good Charlotte bandmantes Benji and Joel Madden held the exclusive grand opening cocktail party last night for their DCMA Collective flagship store, due to open today in the popular Melrose area of Los Angeles. Twins, Benji and Joel are currently paired up with BFFs Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, who were also at the event. Nicole and hubby Joel just had their first child and Paris and Benji have been dating for several weeks now. The DCMA Collective was founded in 2006 by Benji and Joel, along with their brother Josh Madden and Tal Cooperman. Other celebs who made appearances on the red carpet at the event were Paris' sister Nicky Hilton, Pete Wentz, Audrina Patridge and Christina Milian.

Ashlee Simpson enjoyed a stroll with boyfriend Pete Wentz and friends in South Beach following her "Outta My Head" CD signing at a local Wal-Mart yesterday. The couple was all smiles and looked as in love as ever as they walked hand-in-hand in the sunshine before stopping for a bite to eat at a trendy restaurant. Simpson was wearing her promise ring, a present from Wentz, on her engagement finger and she tried to keep her new arm tattoo out of view.

In the stands, Ashlee Simpson cheered on her boyfriend Wentz while Kim Kardashian supported her step-brother Brody.

Part of the Super Bowl festivities, the second-annual Beach Bowl pitted NFL all-stars against Hollywood's hottest in a wild flag football game. The event benefited the Matt Leinart Foundation and featured performances by Fall Out Boy and Josh Kelly.

Fall Out Boy were in the Halloween spirit last night as they performed at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater and they delivered a wild night for all. Pretty boy Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson's boyfriend and fan favorite, had to tone down his usual energetic onstage antics, though, after breaking his ankle at Sunday's Voodoo Music Experience festival in New Orleans.

Pete Wentz and Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy along with Marc De Jesus of Gym Class Heroes attended the opening of Pete's Clandestine Industries store in Chicago yesterday. The new Wrigleyville store is a hit and there are already plans to expand the store and add a salon this winter.

Pete first started selling clothing online a few years back and the items became so popular that he was able to launch his first retail store. Since the band is from Wilmette, Chicago was the logical choice. "We have had so many offers to be in L.A. We've had so many offers to be in Europe. We even had offers to be in London. I feel like the brand is representative of Chicago, and, really, there's no place like home," Wentz said.

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, seen here playing the Carling Reading Festival in the UK, reportedly revealed recently that Ashlee Simpson is the first romantic partner he has been honest with.

The 28-year-old singer admitted that celebrity romances are often difficult, but says Ashlee's mature attitude helped make their relationship work.

"This is the first relationship I've been in when I've been honest with the person," Pete said."There's something that has to be said for two people who are doing something creative...Lots of time you can feel like you're baby-sitting someone in a relationship. I've been in relationships when I've signed autographs for fans and the person would get really jealous. There's a story on the internet saying Ashlee is like that, but it's just insane. She would never do that."

The home which sits on a hilltop above Mulholland Drive has two bedrooms in 2,062 square feet, three bathrooms and a pool. It also has views of the Hollywood sign.
