Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty who just began his 14-month prison sentence, asked for a transfer into the high-security area upon prison officers telling him about the plot to attack him. Pete has been placed in the segregation unit for his own safety. According to recent reports, Pete has been injecting smuggled smack while in the slammer and paying for the drugs by getting credit from fellow prisoners, writing IOUs.

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty was reportedly sent to prison in London today for 14 weeks after breaching his probation order. A West London Magistrates Court ruled that Doherty had fouled his bail conditions one too many times. Doherty was given a suspended jail sentence in October last year for several drug and driving offences. He was also given an 18-month supervision order and a 12-month drug rehab order, much of which was later revoked.

Babyshambles singer and Kate Moss ex Pete Doherty has released a statement apologizing to what's left of his fan base after a new video has turned up that shows him shooting up heroin again. In the statement, Dodgy Pete reveals that he's going to rehab...again.

“Peter sadly relapsed last week and is now looking to check himself back into a rehab clinic so that he can try to continue the hitherto excellent attempts he had made to break free of heroin,” his record label, EMI, said in a statement. “His ongoing rehabilitation was a source of such pride to him that Peter and those closest to him thought that he was close to winning his personal battle with the drug.”

According to EMI, Doherty regards the incident as “a stupid, stupid action for which
I feel only shame.”

Doherty also said in the statement that he “would like to apologize to the medical staff, fans and well-wishers who have helped and encouraged his progress in fighting his addiction to heroin.”

A particularly filthy looking Pete Doherty salutes photographers as he left court, yesterday. The troubled British rocker reportedly escaped prosecution on Tuesday because authorities failed to get him to court in time. The 28-year-old singer and former boyfriend of Kate Moss was arrested on Monday on suspicion of possessing drugs, and charged with breaching his bail conditions. He was kept in jail overnight, but was released without charge on Tuesday because more than 24 hours had passed since his arrest. Prosecutor Anjulika Vatish told West London Magistrates' Court: "The court has no jurisdiction to deal with this matter anymore." Not more than a few weeks ago Doherty was warned he had a month to prove his desire to quit drugs or he would face a jail sentence after committing a number of drug-related offences.

Pete Doherty has been arrested for drugs AGAIN while returning from the UK's V Festival. The Babyshambles singer stopped to help a car crash victim and later was pulled over in the Tower Hamlets area of East London at about 2 a.m.

It's been only weeks since his last court hearing when the judge told him that another arrest would land him in jail.

Kate Moss's ex-boyfriend and singer Pete Doherty appeared at West London Magistrates Court, today, after pleading guilty of possessing class A drugs on July 3. The singer admitted to possessing quantities of crack, heroin, cannabis and ketamine and to two driving offences, plus the additional charge of failing to appear in court without reasonable excuse after he turned up late to last month's hearing.

He has since undergone a drug rehabilitation program at the court's request after he was warned that he faced prison if he did not make efforts to clean up.

Pete was mobbed by photographers as he made his way inside, before stepping outside five minutes later to have a cigarette and a chat with reporters. On his way out, he saluted the crowd through the sunroof of his car.

The model, who moved out after kicking Pete out and changing the locks, has moved in with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and his wife Jo. Moss has reportedly bought a new home for 7.2 million pounds that is being renovated in London's exclusive St John's Wood area. She is staying at Wood's home until her new pad is complete.

After court today, Pete Doherty made a quick pub stop in north London. He ran into one door of the pub, then out the back and jumped in his Jag.

He then headed off to his dingy new home, a camp site in west London. He told a waiting photographer that it is his new home since is supermodel girlfriend, Kate Moss, kicked him out. Moss reportedly dumped Doherty following rumors that he cheated on her with South African model, Lindy.

What, pray tell, will be next in the Doherty Drama? This has reality TV written all over it!

Kate Moss's boyfriend, rocker Pete Doherty, looking spaced out again with dark circles under his eyes, hides behind a bush after leaving Kate's North London home. When our photographer spotted him, Doherty jumped up and said "You found me!" and ran down the road. Then, he abruptly turned around and got into the back of our photographer's car and told him to "drive." Once inside the car, a grubby Doherty made a couple of phone calls on our photographer's phone as he said he had lost his. He went on to say "No one understands me and Kate, we both want babies" and he "hates girls trying to look like Kate and that the world should walk to save the planet!"   He also added he is "going to be a bigger legend then Paul McCartney." Doherty used the car head rest to hold his head up at times. He has a long history of drug abuse and drug related arrests and has been in and out of rehab numerous times to try and control his demons.
