Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster enjoyed dinner last night at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. Upon leaving, Rod used a pillow to make himself sit higher in the car seat. I wonder if he does that regularly to compensate for Penny's 6'1" frame (barefoot, that is)?

It's recently been reported that rocker Rod Stewart's model wife Penny Lancaster had back surgery prior to joining the UK show "Strictly Come Dancing" and used the show as a type of rehabilitation to aid in healing. She was booted in week six and said she didn't tell fans about the operation so she would be judged fairly on her dancing ability and not her disability from the surgery.

Penny reportedly had the procedure prior to dancing to fix a slipped disc in her spine. Doctors warned that if she didn't have the surgery, it may lead to paralysis if left untreated. Penny says she's happy to be able to walk at all and, that the muscles in her left foot aren't quite back to full working order which may have contributed to her struggling with the high-energy routine that led to her being voted off the show. "I may have been eliminated ... but the training and dancing was the best form of rehabilitation and healing," she said.

It seems Rod has fulfilled an unlikely ambition. He's had his cherished model train set featured on the front cover of a hobby magazine. Rocker Rod, better known for his love of steamy models than steam engines has a perfect 1:87 scale model in his Beverly Hills home of New York's Grand Central Station in the 1940s that includes 90 feet of track and dozens of period locomotives and carriages.

The world's biggest model railway magazine, Model Railroader was allowed to feature his pride and joy on the cover of the latest edition. Stewart, 62, says he has long sought recognition for his private hobby and said several years ago that such an honor would "mean more to me than the cover of Rolling Stone...I'm a great model railway enthusiast and I'm building a huge layout over there in California, so that takes up a little bit of time and football takes up a little bit of time."

"I'm happy to wait until next year to try for a baby. My aim is to get all the way to the end of 'Strictly Come Dancing' so I can learn all the routines," she said.

Newlyweds Rod Stewart and the Sexy Penny Lancaster celebrated their nuptials yet again at a private summer dinner party for family and friends at an exclusive hotel in London, yesterday.

The 62-year-old rocker and 36-year-old Penny, who have a 20-month-old son Alastair, tied the knot at a lavish ceremony in Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy at the sumptuous Villa Durazzo on June 16.

The couple's recent wedding wasn't the only reason for the celebration. It's reported that Rod's daughter, Kimberly, who turns 28 on August 21, invited her closest friends to the event, which also served as an early birthday party for her.
