Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy filmed scenes recently on Espanola Way in Miami's South Beach for their upcoming movie Confessions of a Shopaholic. Based on the novel of the same name, the film tells the story of a college grad who lands a job as a financial journalist in New York City, supporting her shopping addiction which leads to her falling for a wealthy entrepreneur.

Confessions of a Shopaholic is due in US theaters February 13, 2009.

The three-day Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival got started yesterday in the desert a few hours drive southeast of Los Angeles and thousands gathered to hear their favorite bands and to discover some new ones. Temperatures hovered in the mid-90s as Friday's bands took the stage. Yesterday's lineup included Fatboy Slim, The Verve, Serji Tankian, Jack White and the Reconteurs, Tegan and Sara, The Breeders and Vampire Weekend.

Among those we found on the red carpet at the London premiere of Daniel Craig's new film Flashbacks for a Fool were Craig, Claudia Schiffer, Bryan Ferry, Lily Allen, Gena Athens and Rupert Everett.

The film tells the story of a fading Hollywood star who looks back at the days of his youth as he returns home from his best friend's funeral. It is due in UK theaters on April 18. No US release date has been announced.

The 2008 Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Awards were held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City last night. Among the honorees, presenters and attendees were Madonna, Iggy Pop, Justin Timberlake, Joan Jett, Christy Turlington, Ed Burns, Patti LaBelle, Michael J. Fox and Seth Meyers.

During the ceremony, Madonna, who was presented by Justin Timberlake, didn't worry about whether her career as a pop star and sex symbol qualified her as an important figure in the narrowly defined rock 'n' roll genre. In true Madonna style, she presented unquestionable rocker (and fellow Michigan native), Iggy Pop, who, backed by the Stooges, brought down the house with punk rock versions of her hit songs “Burnin’ Up” and “Ray of Light.”

Paris Hilton's 18-year-old little brother, Barron Hilton, has officially been charged by the Los Angeles District Attorney with DUI, misdemeanor driving with .08 or above blood alcohol level, unlawful use of a license and unlicensed driving. A court date has been set for April 14, 2008. The charges stem from Barron's arrest on February 12, during which his breath tested positive for alcohol with a reading of .14.
