Keira Knightley, James McAvoy, Saoirse Ronan, Vanessa Redgrave and director Joe Wright arrive at the 64th Venice Film Festival in Italy.
Their film, Atonement kicked off the festival this year and the movie, the screen adaptation of Ian McEwan's acclaimed novel, is hotly tipped to take away the Golden Lion award for Best Film at the festival. Its Oscar potential is already being talked up.
The Venice Film Festival runs through September 8th and, for the first time, the festival jury, headed by Zhang Yimou, will have to give a prize to a film with a gay theme or characters. The winners of Best Film, Director, Actor and Actress will also be unveiled on that date.
