Katherine Heigl took a brief smoke break last night while out on the town in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband, Josh Kelley.

Things are going very well for the "Grey's Anatomy" hottie who stars in the hit film 27 Dresses and was recently voted "Most Desirable Woman in the World" by AskMen.com.

Katherine Heigl spent the day with her Mom shopping in Los Angeles today with a focus on decorating and furnishing her new home. Katherine did some serious shopping at Between the Sheets before having lunch next door at Il Piccolino. They then shopped at the furniture store White Orchid before finishing up at a designer floor covering store.

While on her shopping expedition, Heigl reportedly receive a call informing her of the news that her "Grey's Anatomy" co-star, Justin Chambers, is currently under psychiatric evaluation at the UCLA Medical Center, which is also where Britney Spears is being evaluated. After the initial shock subsided, Katherine spent the next half hour or so on the phone, presumably trying to get more information.

Katherine Heigl and Michael Douglas posed for photos last night as they left the "Late Night with David Letterman" studios in New York. Heigl is currently promoting her new film, 27 Dresses, which is due in US theaters on January 18. In the film, a young woman (Heigl), after serving as a bridesmaid 27 times, wrestles with the idea of standing by her sister's side as her sibling marries the man she's secretly in love with.

Newlywed Katherine Heigl took some time off from decorating her new home to have a bit of fun. The beautiful "Grey's Anatomy" star was all smiles today as she joined her mom and some friends for lunch at Sunset Plaza. Heigl was married to Josh Kelly on December 23 and has been using much of her downtime since returning from the Park City, Utah wedding and Mexican honeymoon to decorate their new home in Los Feliz, CA.

Katherine Heigl continued the hunt, yesterday, for home furnishings as she decorates her home. The recent newlywed is using the writer's strike break from "Grey's Anatomy" to decorate her new home in Los Feliz, CA. Yesterday, she shopped along Robertson Blvd in LA for rugs and decorative items including vases and pillows. She took a particular liking to a big brown furry pillow. Looks comfy to me!

Newlywed Katherine Heigl had a busy day yesterday! She started with a search for a neutral colored paint and then tried out a new sofa which got the thumbs up. She was accompanied by her mother who helped her with her choices for her new home with new hubby Josh Kelly in Los Feliz. She and Josh later had dinner at her parents' home. Katherine and Josh were married on December 23rd at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Park City, Utah.

Some of Hollywood's biggest stars turned out on the picket lines to support the WGA's "Diversity Day" on the picket line at Paramount Studios yesterday. Included in the crowed were "Grey's Anatomy" stars Katherine Heigl, T.R. Knight, Justin Chambers, Sara Ramirez and Shonda Rimes along with former "Grey's Anatomy" cast member Isaiah Washington. Also on the scene were Rex Lee from "Entourage" and Paul Adelstein, Amy Brenneman and KaDee Strickland.

These stars join the long list of stars already supporting the WGA strike including Alicia Keys, KT Tunstall and Julia Louis Dreyfus.

Katherine Heigl celebrated her Emmy win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series with a lunch at The Ivy yesterday afternoon in West Hollywood. Heigl stepped outside for a cigarette and was mobbed by fans wanting to take a picture with her and get an autograph. Heigl, who was in high spirits, seemed happy to oblige.
