Reese Witherspoon, Christina Ricci, Amanda Bynes and James McAvoy were among the stars spotted on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the new movie Penelope.

The film, due in US theaters on February 29, is a modern romantic tale about a young aristocratic heiress, Penelope (Ricci) born under a curse that can only be broken when she finds true love with "one who will love her faithfully."
