Heather Mills left court today after a judge awarded her a reported $48.6 million settlement in her divorce from rocker Sir Paul McCartney. Mills had reportedly sought $250 million and McCartney had offered $31.6 million. "I'm so glad it's over," an emotional Mills told reporters. "It was an incredible result in the end to secure mine and Beatrice's future and all the charities I plan on helping." Mills reportedly plans to file an appeal tomorrow against a decision to make the entire judgment public, rather than just the summary released today, on the basis that it includes private and secure matters related to the couple's daughter, Beatrice.
