Feb 1, 08 01:53 AMRod Stewart performed live this evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida amid reports that he was responsible for the breakup of '70s super group Faces. Former bandmate Ian McLagan said Stewart was too busy concentrating on his solo career to give enough attention to the group.
McLagan claims Stewart's selfishness was behind the split in 1975: "He was reluctant to give his songs to us. He'd give his solo albums first choice. It left us out in the cold and there was no way around it."
Faces was also known as The Faces and formed in 1969 from the remaining members of Small Faces after the departure of Steve Marriott. Band members included McLagan, Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Ronnie Lane and Kenney Jones.
