Katherine Heigl spent the day with her Mom shopping in Los Angeles today with a focus on decorating and furnishing her new home. Katherine did some serious shopping at Between the Sheets before having lunch next door at Il Piccolino. They then shopped at the furniture store White Orchid before finishing up at a designer floor covering store.

While on her shopping expedition, Heigl reportedly receive a call informing her of the news that her "Grey's Anatomy" co-star, Justin Chambers, is currently under psychiatric evaluation at the UCLA Medical Center, which is also where Britney Spears is being evaluated. After the initial shock subsided, Katherine spent the next half hour or so on the phone, presumably trying to get more information.
