Jan 20, 08 11:59 PMJason Dottley is heading back to LA after filming the new LOGO series "Sordid Lives" with superstar Olivia Newton-John. But, his time in Shreveport wasn't without incident. It's been reported that discrimination reared its ugly head on the night before he left Shreveport. According to reports, Jason and his "Sordid Lives" cast-mate, T. Ashanti Mozelle, were at the Phoenix Underground, a local club, when they were accused of selling drugs and physically removed from the club before Jason was thrown to the ground in front of onlookers. After police searched and found no drugs, he was handcuffed and placed in a police squad car where he was told by an officer to "go back to California where you boys belong."

That comment from the cop is sad considering Hollywood's involvement here in Shreveport is a blessing. JDot knows that many of us here, especially at Sam's Town, appreciate him and his cast!

what a horrible experience for jason and ashanti!!!!!!!!!when jason called me his words were "mom i have the most frightening story of my life to tell you"!!! my heart dropped to my stomach. i cannot imagine the fear that raced through my son-- fear is not something new to him (having spent most of his school days in mississippi AND gay) and yet this hit a whole new cord with me. it seemed having raised him with such high regards to "THE LAW" (my own father spent time in prison) that this would be his protection against public redicule and violence. what went wrong? my heart goes out to all who are sitting in jail just because someone somewhere didn't like the way they "looked"-thank God the majority and remainder of law enforcement(and people) are law abiding and compassionate. and yes, thank you del and jason for your love, courage, talent and dedication to making your daughters future safer, equal and most important a more accepting and loving world. let's all stop and say a prayer for the guy in shreveport and people in the world- we all need to pull for him (them?)HE (THEY) is (are) the world which we WILL change!!ileast we not forget he is "they"--makes the picture a little clearer and lot larger. bet there's a son, daughtern, parent, neice, nephew other relatives or friend close to this person(persons) that is struggling, suffering and reaching for acceptance within the family for whatever "difference" they may inhibit and are not receiving it. its difficult for most of us to get past a bully---so lets pray for less bullies too!!and THANK the rest of shreveport for making my visit there such a wonderful time!!sam's town was also very cordial to us, a wonderful place to stay!! also thank you Horia---at lubys-she should receive the hospitality award for the world for her kindness and laughter!!!she brought laughter and love to my sons at the end of very long days!!!!!(when they really needed their moms) She was what we all want to be!!!!! so holllywood , Horia is the mother away from home!! maybe del can find
a role for her in southern baptist sissies-more important than ever to to get southern baptist sissies on the big screen-my own sons life and future were at stake because someone couldn't accept he and/or his friend-whom are law abiding, working, moral, clean, giving, fun loving folks and a mothers absolute delight!!!!!!!!!!!! so dr.phil what are your thoughts? ??we could really use you and oprah to team up and help us on this one. as a mother, having watched both of you(with my child) for a long time what should WE DO? this is real and this is America and we need help!!!!!!peace
