From the looks of it, the night air was a bit "nippy" as Britney Spears left Taverna Tony in Malibu last night and Brit reportedly had another wild night on the town. After leaving the restaurant she stopped unexpectedly in the middle of the road trying to take a photo of a mural on the side but, when photographers wouldn't get out of the way, she slammed her camera down onto a car, causing the memory card to go flying. She also stopped at a gas station and reports are that, instead of getting into her own car, got into a photographer's car and headed off to continue her wild evening, ending up at a LA area hotel until the wee hours of the morning, taking the photographer with her.

Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger was out cigar shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday amidst reports that he plans to release 20,000 low-risk prison inmates to save the state of California some money as the budget crisis worsens.

Schwarzenegger wants to authorize the release of some non-serious, nonviolent offenders who have less than 20 months remaining on their terms. Sex offenders would not be eligible for release under the proposal.

If his plan goes through, it would reportedly cut the prison population by 22,159 inmates and save the state $256 million in the fiscal year that begins July 1 and savings could reach $780 million through 2010. The proposal also calls for the elimination of more than 4,000 prison jobs, mainly guards.

Daniel Baldwin looked relaxed and happy last night as he walked through Beverly Hills doing some last minute Christmas shopping.

An arrest warrant for the actor was canceled recently after he explained to a judge that he missed a hearing in a drug case because he was working in Canada. Baldwin's probation was reinstated the judge accepted his explanation that he missed a progress report on his drug rehabilitation because he was stuck at a film shoot in Toronto.

Daniel, 47, was arrested in April 2006 and charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a cocaine-ingesting device and being under the influence.

Is another little Spears on the way!? Britney Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is reportedly pregnant. Jamie Lynn announced today that she is 12 weeks pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldrige's child. "It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," she said. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."

Reports are that Spears doesn't recommend premarital sex, though, saying "I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait...But, I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

No, but she's landed herself in the slammer anyhow. Amy has reportedly been arrested in London. The "Rehab" singer was reportedly taken into custody on Tuesday evening at the Shoreditch police station and is implicated in the bribery plot for which her husband Blake has been in jail since November.

A police spokesperson said: “A 24-year old woman has been arrested by appointment at an east London police station. She is currently in custody. The arrest was in connection with an investigation into perverting the course of justice.”

We caught Kim Cattrall filming a scene for Sex And The City: The Movie outside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel yesterday. Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones, was sporting a very colorful outfit as she stopped by a fake street stall selling puppies. The director shot the scene several times and Kim did a few dry runs in a yellow dress and comfortable boots before the shoot. The movie is scheduled to premiere May 30, 2008.

The thing is, though, it sure didn't look like she was gift shopping. She seemed to be shopping for herself yet again! She first had a bit of lunch at Tra di Noi before stopping in for some theraputic shopping at Madison. She did look awfully festive in her red sweater and black and red boots, but the Iron Maiden t-shirt didn't quite fit the festive spirit.

Tattoo artist and "LA Ink" star Kat Von D was out to set Guinness World Record yesterday for completing the most tattoos in a 24-hour period. Needing to complete a minimum of 400, she began her quest at noon yesterday in her shop High Voltage with large crowds lining up outside.

Per the Guinness guidelines, Von D only inked one design, a Guinness-approved "LA" logo, on a first-come-first-served basis at a cost of only $20. Proceeds from the hopefully record-setting event will go to the non-profit Vitamin Angels, which provides supplements to developing countries and communities that are in dire nutritional need.

Wesley Snipes had a sour look on his face as he arrived at the nightclub Hyde in West Hollywood last night.

It could be because tax evasion charges are reportedly being brought against him. His lawyers are currently trying to move his trial from Ocala, FL to Orlando or New York, NY, stating he cannot get a fair trial in the small Florida town. Lawyers say the actor is entitled to a trial in New York because he lived there when the alleged offenses occurred btween October 2000 and April 2005. He also has a home in Orlando.

It's reported that Snipes has also previously filed motions to dismiss or transfer the trial because of racial prejudices in Ocala.

An October 2006 federal indictment charges Snipes with fraudulently claiming refunds totaling almost $12 million in 1996 and 1997 for income taxes already paid.

Kiefer Sutherland checked into the Glendale, California City Jail tonight after a judge gave approval for him to serve his sentence at a facility other than the L.A. County Twin Towers. Kiefer will spend 48 days in jail after pleading guilty to his second DUI. His plan was to turn himself in on his birthday, December 21, and use his show, 24's, Christmas hiatus to serve his sentence but, because of the writer's strike causing the show to be on hold, he checked in earlier.

The Glendale City Jail has 96 beds and 48 cells. The cells are double-occupancy 10x8 rooms that feature a toilet, wash basin and water fountain. The day room area features showers. Standard operating procedures dictate that long-term inmates, such as Kiefer, get single cells. Reports are he'll be treated just like any other inmate and will be on laundry and kitchen duties.

It's reported that actor Jesse Metcalfe is facing assault charges after punching a photographer in the face on Saturday night in London. The "Desperate Housewives" star reportedly attacked photographer Roman Lawrence as he left the London nightclub Studio Valbonne on Saturday night, leaving him with a bloody nose. Jesse went on to watch his girlfriend, Nadine Coyle, and her band Girls Aloud perform at 15 Years of G-A-Y on World AIDS Day.

The photographer reported the incident to the local police and has asked that criminal charges be brought against Metcalfe. Lawrence said: "He was coming out of the club and walking towards his taxi. But he kept walking past the vehicle. I was walking backwards away from him and he kept walking towards me. He then raised his fist and punched me in the face."

Reports are Velvet Revolver and former Stone Temple Pilots front man Scott Weiland was arrested for driving under the influence in Los Angeles on November 21 and is due in court on December 13. According to the report, he was involved in a non-injury collision for which he was determined to be at fault and exhibited signs of "impairment" at the scene. Field sobriety tests were administered and he was taken to the LAPD jail in Van Nuys where he reportedly refused to take a blood or urine test. He was later released on $40,000 bail. Scott Weiland has been arrested multiple times in the past for a variety of drug offenses and was arrested in 2003 after a Hollywood traffic accident and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Those charges were eventually dismissed after he successfully completed a drug rehab program and submitted to drug tests.

"High School Musical" sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens took time out of her busy schedule over the weekend to give back for charity. Hudgens visited the "Ocean Drive" magazine offices in Miami Beach to film a segment in front of the Audi RS4 art car that Romero Britto, a Brazillian pop-artist, transformed into a work of art for the official automotive sponsor of Art Chicago. It was be the centerpiece of a live auction benefiting Best Buddies International, a non-profit organization founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver. Britto is a longtime supporter and friend of Best Buddies.

Carmen Electra, Jodie Foster, Ricki Lake, T.R. Knight and Joely Fischer were among those we spied on the red carpet at Cracked Xmas 10 benefiting the Trevor Project in Los Angeles last night. Jodie Foster presented The Trevor Founders Award to two of the organization's founders, director Peggy Rajski and screenwriter James Lecesne, in memory of the organization's third founder, producer Randy Stone, who passed away unexpectedly in February of this year.

"I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to present the first Trevor Founders Award to Peggy and James in memory of my dearest friend, Randy," said Ms. Foster. "Their inspired decision to establish this vital organization and their ongoing commitment to saving young lives are indeed worthy of recognition. The very fact that, after ten years, Trevor continues to pursue its mission so successfully is a testament not only to the founders' initial vision, but also to the importance of the organization's efforts to help desperate young people realize that their lives have value."

The Trevor Project is a non-profit organization that operates the nation's only around-the-clock suicide prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.

Eco-friendly Entourage star, Jeremy Piven, grabbed a bite to eat at the Newsroom Cafe, yesterday, while pouring over a new script. Piven pulled away in a Hydrogen powered BMW. The actor is part of a select group that have been given an opportunity to try the new hydrogen-powered luxury performance car. The BMW has a 260-horsepower, 12-cylinder internal combustion engine capable of running on either premium-grade gasoline or hydrogen and can be alternated at the press of a button. The car is also able to switch fuels automatically when the liquid hydrogen tank runs dry. When asked about the car, Piven responded, "If the government received more pressure from the public, Hydrogen could be a viable source of energy within ten years". No price has been released for the car but the standard-fuel BMW it is based upon, the 760Li, retails at $118,900.
