It's reported that Japanese authorities have issued an arrest warrant for actress Hayden Panettiere as a result of her Save the Whales protest. The "Heroes" star was part of a group protest attempting to prevent the slaughter of a group of whales and dolphins by fisherman near Taiji in southwestern Japan. The activists, including Panettiere, were involved in a confrontation with fishermen as they paddled on surfboards trying to reach a pod of dolphins before it was driven into a cove and slaughtered.
Reportedly, the fishermen used the boats propellers to slow the activists' progress on the boards and even lashed out at them with a large boat hook, eventually forcing them to return to shore.
According to the reports, Hayden doesn't know what repercussions the arrest warrant will bring but says "I'd do it again...I was very excited that people were interested in what we did."
