Amy Winehouse, seen here in happier times, bid a tearful farewell to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil as he was carted off to jail in handcuffs yesterday. "I want to go with him," she exclaimed, "Baby, I love you. Baby, I'll be fine."
Blake was arrested last night in London on suspicion of attempting to disrupt a trial, scheduled for next week, in which he was to stand with another man for allegedly assaulting a pub barman who was left needing metal plates in his face. Allegations are that $400,000 was to be paid to a key witness to keep a distance from the case and refuse to provide evidence.
If convicted, the maximum sentence Blake could receive for the offense is life in prison. Three other London men were also arrested in connection with the plot and all four are scheduled for interrogation by detectives today.
The group was arrested just hours after police raided Amy and Blake's Camden home, having apparently been tipped off about the alleged plot.
