Nov 21, 07 02:00 PMSpanish star Alejandro Sanz rocked the Pearl Theater at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas last night. It's reported that the Latin Grammy-nominated singer was recently forced to postpone a November concert in Venezuela after the government blocked him from using a state-controlled stadium as his venue because of past criticism of Venezulan President Hugo Chavez.
According to the reports, Sanz was responding to questions about Chavez in 2004 and said: "I don't like your president. I don't like those from other places either."
The Venezuelan government has reportedly said it will allow Sanz, who is immensely popular in the country, to perform at a private venue and the already-sold-out show has tentatively been rescheduled for February 14, 2008. His concert promoter is currently searching for a new venue.
