Oct 20, 07 07:20 PMIt's been reported that, in an interview yesterday on Big Dick Hunter's Wild Ass Circus radio show, award-winning writer and director Del Shores announced the newest member of his cast for Sordid Lives: The Series. Shores announced that Golden Girl Rue McClanahan will join the all-star cast of the series playing the role of Peggy Ingram, the grandmother of Ty Williamson (played by Jason "JDot" Dottley).
Previously announced cast members include Olivia Newton-John, Delta Burke, Beth Grant and Leslie Jordan, just to name a few!
There are so many folks (including myself!) eagerly awaiting the series. This news just kicks the excitement up a notch! Can't wait!

OMG! Del told me this personally and I nearly died! Rue AND Delta in the same show? It makes no sense that I haven't read about this in People or Us WEekly... At least Mavrix knows where the goods are!

Just to clarify... Rue McClanahan has been offered the role and has said yes, subject to negotiations. I guess the lingo is... we are in final talks for my favorite "Golden Girl" to play Peggy Ingram (the deceased in the film) in the prequel series version of "Sordid Lives" for LOGO. Thanks Mavrix for all the nice press.
