Sep 14, 07 11:01 PMOscar-winner Jamie Foxx became the 2,347th celebrity to be immortalized on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame" today. Foxx, winner of the best actor Academy Award in 2005 for his portrayal of soul singer Ray Charles in Ray, paid tribute to his grandmother during the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard, saying "My grandmother's gotta be spreading her wings and flying around in heaven, just so happy."
Foxx also starred in the hit musical Dreamgirls and is set to appear in action-thriller The Kingdom later this month.
During the ceremony, Foxx also had words of support for Britney Spears, whose comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last weekend was a flop. "I think Britney's gonna be fine," Foxx said. "I think that she was courageous to get up there and do her thing. I wish her well for that."
