According to reports, Amy Winehouse and hubby Blake Fielder-Civil are now on their second honeymoon at a UK drug rehab center for alleged heroin and cocaine addiction. Reportedly, the two agreed to check into rehab after seeing their fathers come to blows over their supposed shared addictions.
So, it wasn't "severe exhaustion" that sent Amy Winehouse to the hospital last week, as reported. The new story is (as we all guessed) that it was a near overdose that did it. One report is that extremely thin and frail singer ingested a cocktail of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, the horse tranquilizer Ketamine and booze!
Speaking to The Mirror, Winehouse's mother-in-law, Georgette Fielder-Civil, said the singer had confessed to her. "She told me she was addicted to heroin and cocaine," she claimed.
Sounds like Amy and Blake are "enabling" each other's addictions. Hopefully the rehab will take and they can work themselves out of this hole they've dug.
No word, yet, on whether Amy will appear at this weekend's V Festival in London as scheduled, but according to a festival spokesperson they have heard no word from Winehouse's people about a cancellation and still expected her to play.
