60-year-old director Takeshi Kitano was the recipient of the first-ever "Glory to the Filmmaker!" award, named after his latest film, at the 64th Annual Venice Film Festival.
Kitano also acts and appears on a myriad of Japanese variety shows under the name Beat Takeshi.
