David Duchovny, best known as the dour, alien-obsessed FBI agent Fox Mulder in the cult series "The X Files," is shown here with Madeline Zima filming the new Showtime series, "Californication," in which he stars and is an executive producer.
With a name like "Californication," you may think that this isn't a G-rated show...and you're right. In the show, the sexy-in-a-grungy-way actor plays dysfunctional writer Hank Moody, who drowns his angst over writer's block and his split with his gorgeous girlfriend, Karen (Natascha McElhone), in bouts of drinking and casual sex.
"Californication" premiered before "Weeds" on August 13 to rave reviews and can be seen on Showtime on Monday nights.
