If Katie Holmes should play the role of Mary Jo in Designing Women, Kate Hudson should play the Rue McClanahan (Blanche) role in any Golden Girls remake. That dress screams “I’m a desperate, middle aged hobag from 1986! Pay attention to me!”
Not that I’m complaining. Blanche was the hottest thing on that show, next to Bea Arthur.
Kiefer Sutherland was also there. The pinstripes are a bit much, but he’s still one of the hottest guys in prime time.

Sometimes, Hilary Duff looks like Mr. Ed’s slow sister (and don’t even get me started on Haylie Duff!). Other times, she looks really, really cute. I’m happy to put her in the latter category today–she’s downright hot in this picture, which was taken outside of Bardot last night.
Hilary has some pretty big stuff going on, at least in terms of her career. Last month, she rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Currently, she’s spreading her sexiness all over the pages of Maxim. Let’s hope she continues to stay relevant through 2009!

I loooves me some Billy Joel. There’s just something about an old guy with a (former?) substance abuse problem that I really like. Plus, he only dates hot chicks. That’s got to score him some bonus points somewhere.
According to Wikipedia, Joel is the only performing artist to have played both Yankee and Shea Stadiums, as well as Giants Stadium. The article also reminded me that he’s the guy who sings that “it’s all about soul” song, which is now going to be stuck in my head until mid-April. Sweet.

Jen Garner and Ben Affleck went to Cedars-Sinai yesterday, and it wasn’t to deliver the baby! She just went for a prenatal checkup, but she’s expected to squeeze out the kid any day now.
Speaking of baby news, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell had their twins! The twin girls were born on December 28th, and were named Dolly Rebecca Rose (after Dolly Parton, no joke) and Charlie Tamara Tulip. Yup, Tulip and Rose. As far as celebrity baby names go, these aren’t that bad. Neither come close to the greatness that is Harlow Winter, but the’re not nearly as bad as Bronx Mowgli.
Plus, a kid could do a lot worse than being named after Dolly Parton, one of the greatest women of the 20th century. I love that lady!
